Develop yourself under the guidance of authentic, practicing spiritual care instructors, in an honest and inspiring atmosphere! We look forward to your pastoral psychology training so that you can help those who need it.

Description of the training

Have you ever felt that you want to help, but are powerless, when you see a person's mental difficulties? Have you ever wanted to support someone in their problem, but felt that you were not competent? At PTF, you learn how to stand by others based on the truths of the Bible and the teachings and example of Jesus.

Cost / reimbursement:
With a state scholarship or self-funded: HUF 180.000 / semester

Training time in semesters:
6 semesters

Credits available: 180 (pastor specialization: 240)

Training type: Full-time and correspondence (hybrid training)

What will you learn?

During your studies:
  • you will gain psychological, methodological and theological knowledge, with which you can support the mentally ill person, their inner and spiritual healing,
  • you acquire scientific and methodological knowledge about the family, the primacy of family education and cooperation with the family,
  • we help you to be able to see the social phenomena and processes that affect the mentally ill,
  • we help him to be able to strengthen Christian values ​​in the person under spiritual care,
  • we help you to be able to provide guidance to people struggling with spiritual or lifestyle problems in society that is in accordance with the teachings of the Bible and also applies current research results
  • you get to know the history and characteristics of biblical times and the church,
  • you will delve into the Old and New Testament Scriptures, you will know its main explanations,
  • you can also put your acquired knowledge into practice: our professional internships in pastoral psychology will help you with this.
 

Admission requirements

Persons with a high school diploma can apply for the training. Part of the admission process is a personal interview and the completion of an online Bible knowledge test.

You can also complete 75% of the lessons remotely on a correspondence course. You can connect remotely via phone, tablet or computer. It's like sitting in class: you can comment and ask questions, the instructors and students are listening to you

Day training with START! scholarship

We make it easier for you to start your studies: from the first month onwards, we financially support PTF START! with a scholarship. You will receive HUF 30 per month in the first semester and HUF 20 per month in the second semester. You will receive this scholarship in addition to all other student grants

You don't have to worry about housing either: take advantage of the free dormitory accommodation that we provide you in the first semester. We won't leave you to yourself in the second semester either: you can use dormitory housing at half price.
