You want to serve, but you feel that enthusiasm is not enough: do you also want to learn? Do you want to build fruitful and growing communities and carry out effective mission work? We will help you with this in our training.

Description of the training

Are you preparing to be a pastor? Or would you simply immerse yourself in the teachings of Jesus? Do you want to deepen your study of the Bible? Are you interested in the circumstances under which your texts and stories were created? Do you want to know how to pass them on so that they still have power today? Approach the truths of the Bible from a new angle at our ministerial training! You can openly ask the lecturers, and you will have constructive discussions with your fellow students. You will be enriched with new inspiration, knowledge and community, through which you will perform your service efficiently and with new strength. After completing the 6 semesters, your professional qualification will be expanded with the Pastoral specialization during another 2 semesters of church practice.

What will you learn?

During your studies:
  • you get to know the history and characteristics of biblical times and the church
  • you will delve into the Old and New Testament Scriptures, you will know its main explanations
  • we help you learn to present, speak publicly, and write creatively
  • we help you to express your point of view, to be able to argue for what you believe in
  • you can also put your acquired knowledge into practice: our professional internships for pastors will help you with this.

Admission requirements

Persons with a high school diploma can apply for the training. Part of the admission process is a personal interview and the completion of an online Bible knowledge test.

Family-friendly (hybrid) correspondence course

You can also complete 75% of the lessons remotely on a correspondence course. You can connect remotely via phone, tablet or computer. It's like sitting in class: you can comment and ask questions, the instructors and students are listening to you

Day training with START! scholarship

We make it easier for you to start your studies: from the first month onwards, we financially support PTF START! with a scholarship. You will receive HUF 30 per month in the first semester and HUF 20 per month in the second semester. You will receive this scholarship in addition to all other student grants

You don't have to worry about housing either: take advantage of the free dormitory accommodation that we provide you in the first semester. We won't leave you to yourself in the second semester either: you can use dormitory housing at half price.
