Professional further training

Family counselor / Family therapist

With the aspects of systems approach, pastoral psychology and spirituality

Description of the training

The aim of the professional further training leading to the qualification of family counselor is to train intellectuals who are competent in identifying, consulting and, if necessary, referring family dysfunctions to appropriate professional care. The training is social science, therefore, no prior theological knowledge or proof of religious commitment is required. At the same time, the training at the College of Theology provides an opportunity to learn about the more important (Christian) spiritual and pastoral psychological aspects of family life in addition to professional knowledge of family counseling, since humans are bio-psycho-socio-spiritual entities. This ensures the acquisition of more complex professional knowledge necessary for the interpretation and treatment of family dysfunctions.
