Mission statement
The PTF research institute is an organizational unit that integrates the research activities of the departments and organizes their work and publication activities. Its mission is to improve the academic quality of the PTF, with particular regard to initiatives exploring Pentecostal and charismatic identity and history, as well as Bible research initiatives.
Placement in the organization of the PTF
The PTF research institute is an independent organizational unit whose work is directly supervised by the vice rector of education.
Organizational structure and operation of the research institute
Members of
- the head of the research institute,
- rector,
- vice chancellor of education,
- department heads,
- heads of research projects delegated by department heads on a permanent or occasional basis.
Their task
- in areas corresponding to the research institute's mission, they conduct a dialogue about the already operational and further necessary and feasible project branches and launches,
- perform individual research and publication tasks in accordance with their commitment and mandate,
- the research institute's plenary, or at their relevant scientific discussions.
Its leader
Election, appointment
The head of the institute is selected by the rector of the institute from among the full-time senior lecturers of the college and presented to the Senate of the college. The appointment requires a support vote of at least two-thirds of the members of the Senate present.
His task
Ensuring the continuous and balanced operation of the research institute, in particular
- supervision of research projects,
- organization of the undertaken publications,
- initiation of new research areas,
- opening new horizons in research projects that are already underway.
- Preparing, convening and conducting the plenary meetings of the research institute at least once per semester.
- Personal contact with researchers.
- Finding publication opportunities and organizing their implementation.
- Initiating the acquisition of new, relevant library literature.
- Initiation of research relations with domestic and foreign higher education institutions and research institutes.
- Researching the application opportunities necessary for the projects, preparing the application.
- Initiation, organization and registration of professional conferences of the PTF (Hungarian Science Festival, etc.)
- Initiation and organization of scientific workshop discussions and scientific dialogue in other genres.
- Launching other initiatives that help the PTF's scientific activity and recognition.
- Initiating publication directions for the Pünkösd.ma editorial team and performing related tasks.
Its governing body
The decision-making body of the research institute is the plenum, whose members are:
- the head of the research institute,
- rector,
- vice chancellor of education,
- department heads.
The head of the institute prepares, convenes and conducts the plenary meetings at least once per semester. The meeting dates for the given academic year are fixed and announced by the plenum no later than the last day of September - after consultation with the rector.
The relevant head of department and/or his/her delegate prepares the research project and its current questions and proposals for the research institute's plenary discussions on issues related to various scientific fields.
Main research areas
Farming
In order to carry out his duties, he can initiate the separation of a financial target frame from the college's annual budget by naming each project with the rector, in agreement with the financial manager. The allocated budget is managed independently, in compliance with the financial regulations.
Its members carry out their research activities in conjunction with their teaching activities, in accordance with their job description and college workload.
