I was born in Budapest in 1965, when I was 5 years old we moved to Vecsés, where my father served as a reformed minister. I studied at Budapest Reformed Theology between 1986 and 1991. Between 1989 and 1991, I also attended lectures at the Department of Hebrew Studies at ELTE. From 1991 to 1993, I continued theological studies in Tübingen and Heidelberg, mainly Old and New Testament scriptures. In 1993, he was ordained as a Reformed minister. Between 1993 and 1996, I worked as an assigned pastor in the Budapest Kálvin Square Reformed Church. In the academic year 1996-97, I obtained a master's degree in Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta (my supervisor was Walter Brueggemann and Kathleen O'Connor). In 1998, I began my doctoral studies at the Oxford Center for Mission Studies in England. In February 2002, I defended my thesis in which I examined the first three kings of Israel from the perspective of charismatic leadership (Three Seasons of Charismatic Leadership: A Literary-Critical and Theological Interpretation of the Saul, David and Solomon Narrative). I received my degree from the University of Wales. My supervisors were Robert P. Gordon, Regius Professor at the University of Cambridge, and Carl Armerding, former director of Regent College in Vancouver. Wesley since fall 2002 János I teach Old Testament at a university, and since 2012 I have been the head of the Old Testament department, BA and MA courses at the Pentecostal Theological College. I am particularly interested in biblical theology and exegesis. In 2004, I participated as a tutor in the master's degree program of the Institute of Protestant Mission Studies. In 2004-2005, I taught Old Testament theology and the Pentateuch in two-week courses as a guest lecturer at Eszéki Protestant Theology. In 2012, I spent three months researching with a DAAD scholarship at the University of Halle under the guidance of Professor Ernst-Joachim Waschke, and in 2013 another three months in Prague. I successfully defended my habilitation thesis at Wesley in November 2003 János In college.
In my spare time, between two injuries, I like to run, bike, hike and study theology.
