Farkas Júlia – Mónika Göntér – Gabriella Szabó: Solution focus and search for meaning in the treatment of school bullying (e-book)

We therefore invite the reader to think together about the safety of our children and the prevention of bullying during institutional education. In this common thinking, we go over the doubts that appear in reality and the ways out of them again and again. After all, the three of us who wrote this book are practicing parents, teachers, and child protection specialists. We are also affected by the topic, and if we share these difficulties with each other, we have already done something for the cause.

Description

When dealing with school and kindergarten bullying, cooperation between parents and teachers is extremely important, so the studies in the book address both of them at the same time, creating a common basis for approaching the problem. Thanks to the exchange of information and better understanding, they can share experiences and observations about children. This helps to convey a consistent message to children, to provide them with support and to intervene effectively in the event of bullying. Cooperation mobilizes resources, means mutual support between parents and teachers, as well as joint responsibility by working on long-term solutions. And this joint effort helps the child feel emotionally and physically safe and can develop in a positive environment. During the bullying, he experiences that someone or others are constantly against him, or perhaps he himself is against someone else for various reasons, so it is important to change the situation that he sees from the adults who provide him security that they are capable of cooperation and that they do this for him .

It gives great strength when someone stands by us in times of uncertainty, and
she shares with us that she, or her child, has experienced the same fear and vulnerability, and that there is light at the end of the tunnel. One of our most important messages is that there is always room for action, and that bullying can be prevented, and if it has already occurred, it can be overcome.
We hope that after reading this book you will experience this as well.
