Student allowances


Study scholarship

(for Government-financed full-time students)

Upon the terms and ‎conditions set in cooperation with and approved by the Student ‎Union, between HUF 5,000 and 25,000 per month


START! scholarship

(for Government- or self-financed full-time first year students)

Scholarship and free or reduced-price accommodation for first-year ‎students beyond any other student allowances.

In the first semester: PTF START! – Amount: HUF 30,000 per month‎

Conditions (the fulfilment of conditions is based upon the review ‎of the previous month):

  • Participation in at least 75% of the classes.
  • Turning in tasks on time during the term.

Dormitory (if requested): Free.

  • Conditions (the fulfilment of conditions is based upon the review ‎of the previous month):
  • Active participation in dormitory life amd keeping areas of common use in an orderly condition.

In the second semester: PTF START! Amount: 15,000 HUF per month

Conditions (the fulfilment of conditions is based upon the review ‎of the previous month):
  • Completion of the courses of the previous semester.
  • A corrected credit index average grade for the first semester of at ‎least 3.5‎
Dormitory (if requested): 50% discount. Conditions (fulfilment of the conditions of PTF ‎START!):
  • Appropriate and irreproachable participation in the dormitory life ‎of the first semester, confirmed by the ‎President.

Scholarship of the Republic

One person can be awarded per academic year in the amount of ‎HUF 34,000 per month Time of application: in the spring term of each academic year, ‎usually in June.


Welfare scholarship

Regular or one-time based on need.

Time of application: usually the second month of each semester.

A student is eligible for welfare benefit if they participate in a full-‎time BA or MA programme, and

a) is participating in a government-subsidized education ‎programme, or b) started their studies in a government-subsidized education ‎programme, and, based on the number of terms completed in ‎the given major or training course, would be eligible for ‎participating in government-subsidized education.

A student is eligible for a regular welfare stipend if they are in ‎any of the following categories:‎
  • orphan,
  • half-orphan,
  • living with disabilities,
  • breadwinner, or
  • having a large family.

Student loan

PTF students are eligible for both types of student loan.

It provides a reduced-interest loan for daily subsistence beyond ‎self-subsidy. It is granted directly to the student.

It allows the full or partial crediting of the tuition costs. It is granted directly to the institution.‎

Student reimbursements, fees and costs

Self-subsidy (tuition fee)‎

Students in government-subsidized education programmes do not need to pay tuition fees.‎

In case students do not start or continue their education, they are entitled to have their already paid tuition fee for the semester in question (self-subsidy) reimbursed upon request. Requests for reimbursements may be submitted prior to students commencing their education–that is by registering for courses, in accordance with the National Act on Higher Education and its Implementing Regulation. For tuition regarding educational programmes that require ICF certification, reimbursements may be requested before the 15th of January, if withdrawing from the programme for a sufficiently reasonable cause.

Postgraduate specialist training courses

Pastoral Psychology Specialist: HUF 70,000 per semester

Coaching and Leadership from a Christian Perspective: HUF 120,000 per semester

Business coach: HUF 240,000 per semester

Leadership with a Christian Approach: HUF 240,000 per semester

Credit-based fee: HUF 3,333 per credit

Dormitory fee and meals

The reduced dormitory fee of full-time students in a normal ‎curriculum is

HUF 13,000 per month + a laundry fee of HUF 1,000 per month

The fee includes accommodation costs but not meals.‎

Students must provide for their own meals, for which there are ‎well-equipped kitchenettes and refrigerating capacities ‎available.‎

Coursebooks

The majority of coursebooks is available in the Electronic Course ‎Book Store (fee: HUF 4,000 per semester) or a hard copy can be ‎borrowed from the PTF Library. Other coursebook costs can vary between HUF 5,000 and 15,000 ‎per semester.‎
