About Judit Tamás: I met Judit at the very training that I attended with several of you, and of which she was both the organizer and the driving force. Then we sat down for coffee 🙂 It quickly became clear that she had been studying and practicing the narrative therapy approach for a decade, and that she had accumulated not only experience, but also a lot of thoughts over the years. We started talking right from the first time about how we could create a training that could make the most important components of the methodology accessible, and in the meantime, a professional community could also form in Hungary.
Judit's narrative methodology-specific group supervisions were the first step, and then, starting from this path, a couple of workshops, professional articles and a website were born, where we tried to collect all available literature in one place. And now we are launching this training. Over the years, Judit has acquired the first two levels of the Narrative Therapy training, and then 3 of the specific professional modules required for the diploma, the child therapy, clinical and trauma therapy modules. The fundamental approach in her own therapeutic work is everything that narrative therapy represents.
About Tamás Judit: I met Tamás at a 5-day Narrative Therapy workshop and it immediately became apparent among the 100 students that he was not only interested, but also had a vast background of knowledge, even though he did not come from a psychological or therapeutic background. It was exciting to see how, as a coach and as a specialist in learning methodology and theory, he was able to look at the issues of the narrative approach from different perspectives. It gives me a lot that he previously dealt with stories in a completely different way, with story theory.
His life path is varied. He worked as a teacher for a long time, teaching mathematics and computer science, then founded the Creative Graphic Workshop, and then a few years later the Narrative Human Workshop. Graphics provide an interesting background surface for the work he does with and for people, as if visualizing and structuring theories and approaches. His areas of interest are coaching, spirituality, experiential learning and the intertwining of stories. He deals with the use of narrative therapy tools in coaching and the Christian critical evaluation of individual coaching schools.
