Mrs. Dr. Szabó Krisztina

He completed his studies first at Károl Gáspár Református University (KRE) and then at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in the field of Communication and Media Studies with honors. He was then a doctoral student at the BME GTK Philosophy of Science and History of Science Doctoral School with a state scholarship, graduating in 2016. For the academic year 2017-18, he was awarded the Hungarian State Eötvös Scholarship and spent seven months in England (University of Bedfordshire), where he worked on his doctoral dissertation, entitled Assessing the “Invisible” – Critical Discussion about the OECD/PISA Reading Literacy Surveys, in the fall of 2020 defended with summa cum laude within the Analytical Philosophy doctoral program of the ELTE BTK Doctoral School of Philosophy. Supervisors: Dr. Danka István; Dr. Council János; Prof. Andy Goodwyn. He currently works full-time as a university assistant professor, in the position of deputy head of the education department at the BME GTK Department of Philosophy and History of Science.

His research topic: reading comprehension, screen reading, OECD/PISA surveys.

He teaches the subjects of Argumentation, Negotiation, Persuasion, Presentation Techniques, Public Communication, Communication Campaign Planning and Organizational Communication. He holds guest lectures on these topics (e.g. BME PhD courses, Mathias Corvinus Collegium, Elevate Budapest Academy), communication trainings, and is a regular participant in the Researchers' Night and BME Children's University program series.
