I was born in Miskolc in 1983 and lived there until I moved to Pannonhalma as a Benedictine monk. I have been a member of the community since 2007, made my perpetual vows in 2012, and was ordained a priest two years later. I graduated as an economist at the University of Miskolc, majoring in management and organization while still a civilian. As a Benedictine, this is expanded to include the various religious and helping professions: theologian, teacher (in addition to theology, mathematics, which is slowly being considered as a missing subject, was also included), pastor, and coach (PTF, 2021). I have always liked dealing with people, thinking in terms of perspectives, planning and looking for connections between various professions and activities. Thus, delving into a specific topic and implementing it in detail are not really part of my basic operation. Currently, the main direction in my life is teaching and education full-time at the Bencés Gimnázium in Pannonhalmi and as a teacher at PTF. The school year is complemented by silence courses (quiet, self-awareness group retreats) and spiritual exercises held in the summer. As a Benedictine monk, I try to get to know the Rule of Benedict of Nursia and the monastic tradition as much as possible, I am looking for the way, how I can best live it in today's world as a monk and what I can pass on from this understanding and experience within the framework of teaching or helping relationships.
